Our World Tuesday # 18 Just Chill

JUST CHILL :-)
Cool, isn't he?
Guess where we spotted him? Actually, I must confess that Krrish spotted him outside Rude Lounge near Inorbit Mall in Vashi, and suggested the photo for 'Our World Tuesday' as amidst the chaos Inorbit mall and Vashi station, he looks like he has found a corner to chill out and relax in his 'Own World'.

Here's how he lay relaxing outside Rude Lounge.

ABC Wednesday - 'Z' for 'Zone' : My son's favourite zone 'TIMEZONE'

TIMEZONE at Inorbit Mall in Vashi
Timezone is a popular fun and gaming centre and bowling alley at Inorbit Mall in Vashi and my son's favourite 'ZONE'. They have games to entertain all age groups. Interactive creature and transformer shooting games, car and bike racing video games, air hockey, merry-go-round, 5D theatre, bowling alley, bumper cars and archery too. They also have a party zone for birthday parties within the gaming zone.

Timezone has prepaid cards that we need to fill with an amount and with each swipe at a game, a  charge is deducted. You get points and tickets (that can be converted into points) and then redeemed for gifts at the gift counter.
Timezone has discounts on Tuesdays and seasonal offers for refill, like every Christmas Eve they have offers on amounts above Rs. 1000. If you refill Rs. 1000 and above, you get the double on your Timezone card. I usually refill for the year on Christmas Eve and get my son here 4-5 times a year, usually in the holidays.

Located on the second floor, it can't be missed by your kids if you are at the Food Court also on the same floor. The bright blinking lights, the excitement and the techno sounds ensure an addictive environment and your little ones and even teenagers wont leave easily.

Our World Tuesday # 15 Florista at Inorbit Mall

Florista is a floral designing boutique at Inorbit Mall Vashi.
They also provide customised bouquets and floral arrangements combining varied flowers, vases and accessories to go with the arrangement. I love the cute teddy bears that are available here to add on with the flowers.

Weekend Snapshot #18: Snowman At Center One Mall

Click on image to view full size
'Snowman visits Center One Mall'.
This picture is from my 2007 archives. Center One Mall was decorated with a huge Christmas tree and snowman to greet visitors. It's Christmas time and I thought this was perfect for the Weekend Snapshot. I went to center One mall last week to be greeted by Santa Claus with gifts in his sleigh but couldn't photograph it. After 26/11, there is ever-increasing security in the city malls and photography is strictly prohibited. So, this one from last years photos.
Happy Christmas holidays to all Mumbai Virtual Tourists.

September 2008 Monthly Theme: Sister Cities

Navi Mumbai is Mumbai's sister city, also known as twin city of Mumbai. It is one of the largest planned cities in the world.

Navi Mumbai is the only Indian city to be featured in the National Geographic Channel's Super Cities of the World and was declared one of the best cities of the world by the National Geographic experts.

Navi Mumbai's Railway Stations are one of the very few stations in India which boast of beautiful infrastructure. The newly designed train stations in Navi Mumbai are a contrast with the old, congested and overcrowded stations within the Mumbai city limits.

Of the many landmarks, beautiful buildings, flyovers and bridges, malls & parks, and religious places, stations, I chose this photo of Panvel Railway Station for today's theme.

(Click on the photos to view the large size)
Panvel is the last station on the harbour line in Navi Mumbai.

The 14 self-contained nodal townships of Navi Mumbai are strung along the mass rapid transport corridors, designed to minimise travel time and distance between nodes and neighbouring cities. The major wholesale markets and industrial belts are evenly distributed in outer areas. Intervening nodes are for predominantly residential settlements. Each node is self-contained with educational health, social, religious, cultural, sports and recreational facilities.

Weekend Snapshot

Center One Mall

The Center One mall in Vashi is a popular hangout for the youth and families too. It has Food Bazaar on the ground level, where you can get all your weekly grocery and other foodstuff. My favorite is Pantaloons, coz it offers new fashion and great style for 365 days of the year. There is Benzer for men, Sayonara, Giny & Jony, Lilliput and 4 to 14 for kids, a ladies bag shop, also a bindi shop and so much more.

The Food Court on the fourth level has a large variety of food to choose from. There is Brijwasi, Chaat Centre, Baskin Robbins icecream, Bombay Blues, McDonalds...There are more than 50 food outlets so that you don't leave the mall without a burrrp....
;-) How can I forget the gaming zone and play gym for kids on the fourth level?

Center One mall is my favorite hangout with my preschooler. If we are not at granny's place(my mom's place) on the weekend, then we hang around here for a couple of hours every Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Raghuleela Mall

Raghuleela Mall is one of the biggest and popular malls in Navi Mumbai, and is on a prime location exactly opposite Vashi Station. The mall not yet being fully functional, Future Group's Big Bazaar in the mall is the favourite shopping paradise.
I love the architecture of the mall. Photography is not permitted in the mall, so I could not get any photos of the atrium.
For amazing photos of the inside, click here.

Archies Gallery

Archies Gallery, a household name in Mumbai for cards and gifts has an outlet at the Palm Beach Galleria in Vashi, Navi Mumbai. I love the soft toy collection here.

Center One

Center One, Navi Mumbai's first mall is all about shopping, entertainment, food and leisure.
The mall was conceptualized by RTKL, USA, one of world's best design houses with long-standing experience in designing and executing malls, and constructed by Trafalgar House, UK.
The Dollar Shop, Food Bazar, Benzer (Men), Lilliput, Pantaloons, Hakoba, Sayonara, Roop Sangam are a few of the outlets it boasts of. The Level 3 is dedicated to the Food Court which has food outlets offering the widest variety of cuisine in any mall.
It has rightly been promoted as 'Mall For All'.

The Big Max Sale

If you are in Mumbai, visit the Big Max Sale at the Palm Beach Galleria in Navi Mumbai. The Big Max Sale is on. If you are looking for style within Rs.599 plus the sale offer for not only menswear and womenwear (and jewellery you can't miss) but also kids wear, this is the place to be.
Besides Pantaloons at Center One (the first mall in Navi Mumbai), this is the only place in Navi Mumbai I can vouch for style.
Krrish's birthday wear was also Max.

Palm Beach Galleria

The Palm Beach Galleria is the newly opened 2.5 lakh sq. ft. shopping mall in Vashi, conveniently located right off the highway.

Merry Christmas!!!

Most people are flocking to the many malls in Mumbai City on Christmas Eve. Most malls are open till 00:30 am for Christmas and New Year Eve.
This one was for yesterday but my internet connection failed me in the evening.
