Saturday Photo Hunter Theme: Strings
Rakhis: Silk strings with gold and silver thread & fancy beads & beautifully crafted sequins and studded with semi precious stones. Sisters tie Rakhi strings on their brother's wrist on Raksha Bandhan.
LOL, I don't think I'll ever be able to convince my brothers to wear anything that colorful, especially a bracelet!
I think your Raksha Bandhan custom is beautiful. Your family ties are much stronger even than those of ours. Now I understand my brother-in-law and his sister just a little bit more. (My younger sister is married to an Indian.)
Thank you for your valuable views. Your criticism, appreciation and suggestions are welcome to an amateur photographer who loves her city. MDS is now active as a daily photoblog.
Ces strings sont très beaux ! Couleurs très chaudes ! A quoi servent-ils ?
