Our World Tuesday # 23 : Kala Ghoda Arts Festival #7 Jana Gana Mana : Touch Everyone's Heart

This photo is a part of the art installation 'Jana Gana Mana : Touch Everyone's Heart'. 

A Kathakali dancer from Kerala and a Kashmiri girl.

It was impossible to click the whole installation as the festival was very crowded. Most youth were not clicking pictures of art but posing themselves in front of it.

Here is how close I could get to show you the installation.

It shows the National Anthem 'Jana Gana Mana' written on the map of India. The person in the centre is Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, who wrote the National Anthem. It shows the different people of India and represents 'Unity in Diversity'.

Our World Tuesday # 21 : CST- UNESCO World Heritage Site

Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), formerly known as Victoria Terminus is one of the busiest railway stations in India with over three million commuters daily.

A magnificient work of of period architecture, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is hard to travel till the station or pass by without adoring its beauty and grandeur and trying to discover something unseen in it or capture it in the camera from a different perspective.

Our World Tuesday # 17 Cyber Safe

Cyber Safe by Maharashtra Police

The last week of December was declared Cyber Safe week by Maharashtra State police and these banners were put up everywhere for public awareness.
This step is appreciated by residents of Navi Mumbai as many parents are not internet savvy but not even using computers and internet especially moms, and unable to guide the teenagers or keep an eye on their internet activities.

Christmas is over and the new year has arrived, but I didn't want to wait for a year to share this photo of Christmas celebrations at Infiniti mall on Christmas Eve.

The Christmas tree, the Gingerbread man and house, and Santa Claus on his sleigh with the reindeers at the entrance, were highlights of the decorations. 
As you can see, everyone wanted to take photographs. I clicked this photo from the first floor to get the Christmas tree along with the joyous crowd.

Florista is a floral designing boutique at Inorbit Mall Vashi. 
They also provide customised bouquets and floral arrangements combining varied flowers, vases and accessories to go with the arrangement. I love the cute teddy bears that are available here to add on with the flowers.

Mumbai Metro

Mumbai Metro Line 1 VAG ( Versova - Andheri - Ghatkopar ) was inaugurated on 8 June, 2014. It was designed to reduce the traffic congestion in the city, and provide east-west rail connectivity.

Tokens and smart cards are available for travel. The frequency of metro train is 4 minutes at peak hours and 8 minutes at non-peak hours, Sundays and holidays.
The train timings are from 5:30 am to 12 am.

The route is as follows:

Versova - D. N. Nagar - Azad Nagar - Andheri - WEH ( Western Express Highway) - Chakala - Airport Road - Marol Naka - Saki Naka - Asalpha - Jagruti Nagar - Ghatkopar

Our World Tuesday # 11 Mumbai Traffic

A Street Shot during the morning rush hours near Andheri Sports Complex.
All in a hurry to reach somewhere. The man pushing the handcart saw some place and rushed in before the bike rider could, while the lady with a small child in her arms hurried into the bus which is nowhere near the bus-stop.
The beauty of Mumbai lies in the chaos of the city, and tolerance towards each other.
