Mumbai Weekend Snapshot by Krrish - 10 : Trip To Elephanta Island - 6 # Toy Train at Elephanta Island

TOY TRAIN AT ELEPHANTA ISLAND -CLICK TO VIEW IN LARGER SIZE |
As we climbed the stairs up the jetty, this cute little train was waiting for us. It is a small ride to the base of the hills where the caves are located. You can walk if you like but don't miss this cute 5 minute ride atleast one way. The train moves slowly and you can take pictures easily.
The train turned here after a while and the track ends a little ahead after the turn here. See how far we have come from the jetty after taking a right turn. Again there are some souvenir shops just before the steps to the hill.
These interesting magnetic stickers and the wooden toys were the best buy for children. I did some shopping too :-)

Mumbai Weekend Snapshot by Krrish - 6 : Mini Train
![]() |
Mini Train at Inorbit Mall |
The Mini Train at Inorbit Mall is a popular and joyful ride and quite an attraction for little kids. I also used to take a ride whenever we visited Inorbit Mall. Actually, I still don't mind taking a ride in it. Seated in the last bogie of the train and moving around the mall in circles and watching people walk by, is lots of fun. The music plays throughout the ride.
I love the design of the engine a lot, and like to hear the whistle too.

Mumbai Weekend Snapshot by Krrish - 4 : Fairytale Christmas at Damien
Christmas was loads of fun, as I spent Christmas Eve eating out, clicking photos at many places, also Damien at Bandra. We ate Merwans cake, decorated our Christmas tree, and I got a cool Spiderman dart gun as my Christmas gift.
These fairytale displays were put up this Christmas at Damien store. They are The Frog Prince, Lion Goes To War, Puss In Boots and Santa's Reindeer.
There was also a nativity scene in the display.
Damien Interior Store is closed for Christmas season, but is always decorated with awesome displays, and no passerby can resist taking photos here.
Wish you all a great Christmas week loaded with gifts and lots of fun, and a Happy New Year 2015. Love you all.

Mumbai Weekend Snapshot by Krrish - 2
My favourite dish is Pav Bhaji.
If mummy makes pav bhaji everyday, I'll be very happy.
The pav bhaji at Juhu beach also tastes very good. It is a must try, atleast once. We ate pav bhaji at this stall last weekend, and I watched this uncle make pav bhaji.
It is mouth-watering and appetizing to watch the 'bhaji' which is a mashed mixture of veggies cooked in butter and spices, being made on this huge 'tava' and then the 'pav' fried in spice and butter. Yummy!
Have a fun-filled yummy weekend!

Mumbai Weekend Snapshot by Krrish - 1
Hi friends, this is my first photo on mumbaidailysnapshot.
I clicked this one from the auto yesterday, when this boy came asking for some money or food.
Mom and I usually carry biscuit or wafer packets to give the children who beg on streets, but we never give them any money. We also make sure we open the pack a little so that they cannot resell it.
These children have a tough life, and buy 'Gutkha' - (Wikipedia meaning - a sweetened mixture of chewing tobacco, betel nut and palm nut) for Rs. 1 or 2 instead of food. Mom has even seen a little boy go to a cigarette and pan shop, and exchange the Rs.2 biscuit pack for a Rs. 1 'Gutkha' pack. So opening the pack is important so that we are sure we gave snacks and not gutkha.
I feel very bad for them and want to do something for these children. When I see them, I feel blessed to have such a nice home, family and school.
I hope you like my post. Please come back on next Sunday to see my Mumbai Weekend Snapshot.
