Weekend Snapshot: At Home

This weekend was spent looking after our potted plants  in our bedroom balcony, and watching the rain and clouds outside.

Plant Nursery

This plant nursery is located on the road from Vashi to Koparkhairane. They have not only beautiful flowering plants, ferns and other plants for sale but also readymade grass lawns and beautiful flower pots. The petunias in yesterday's photo were also taken here.

The person who was in charge of the nursery was friendly and allowed me to take some lovely photos.

Gulmohar- Delonix Regia

The gulmohar, also known as Flame Tree is covered with clusters of flame red flowers. Finally I've posted a flower whose name I'm sure of.

Plants For Your Home

Its end of summer time here, and you get to see many such vendors selling a variety of plants (indoor and outdoor) on the carts. Mumbai has experienced rain showers in the last few days and yesterday too. The plants grow well in the monsoon, and so many people buy these small plants just before the monsoon.

Decor For Your Home

Artificial flowers and plants seem to be popular throughout the year in the city. This place is always buzzing with shoppers looking for a newer variety of flowers and plants. And when it's Christmas time, it's simply Christmas trees and decorations all over the place. The street is known as Lohar Chawl.
