View From The Bus Exit

As the bus took a turn near Mafco Yard bus-stop and slowed down near the bus-stop, I got these pics of the potholes, people waiting for the bus and a man pushing a hand-cart.

Potholes - how deep?

No driver could easily escape these potholes (right in the middle of the road) outside Millennium Towers in Sanpada. How deep do you think these potholes are? Are there potholes in your city? Are the authorities as careless?

Potholes

Monsoon has long arrived in Mumbai, but I didn't post any pic so far. This is the first one, the potholes near my home, right in front of the little vegetable corner shop. Many roads in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai are in the same condition, and a nightmare for drivers.

Clouds

Today, we could see a lining of clouds on the top of the mountains. The mountains are getting greener by the day and we will soon see the waterfalls. Posted by Picasa

Monsoon

The premonsoon showers took the city by surprise. Many came out to enjoy getting wet in the rain.

For about an hour after the rain stopped, the mountains were hidden by clouds.

Navi Mumbai is lesser polluted than Mumbai but the dust had settled down and everything was even more beautiful than before.

Pavement Under Construction

Like many other Mumbaiites, I have never been able to figure out why all the pavements and roads are dug or being repaired at the onset of monsoon.
Why now and not earlier?? I hope this reaches the concerned authorities.Posted by Picasa
