Skywatch Friday

We saw these unusually dark clouds in Navi Mumbai last weekend. Even more strange was that they just passed by, leaving a dull sky. After another 36 hours on Monday afternoon, it rained very heavily.

  7. LeenaM, it's monsoon time in Mumbai from mid-June to August end, and sometimes till mid-September. This year, it hasn't rained much till July end. Now in August, the sky is making up fo all the water shortage.
But it's fun as long as there is no water flooding.

  11. Those are some scary clouds. And they didn't bring anything but grey sky. Incredible.

  12. I've been traveling all weekend, watching clouds from Tropical Storm Fay and just got home to see it finally raining. It's hard to believe that you didn't see rain from these clouds but I'm certain someone else did. They're just spectacular. What kind of camera are you using?
