Jijamata Udyan

This is the clock tower at the Jijamata Udyan also known as Victoria Gardens and Rani Baug( Mumbai's zoo ) in Byculla.
The zoo will soon be closed for renovation so I and my sister took the kids for their first ever visit to the zoo, last week. The zoo timings are from 9 am to 6 pm and is closed on Wednesdays.
This clock tower has been there ever since the zoo was opened here. When we were kids, we lived right opposite the road at Byculla and it was a daily routine to check the time in the tower while going to school every morning.
We managed to get pictures of some animals and birds in the zoo, though there aren't many left.

  2. When you enter Jijamata Udyan, the clock tower is on the left, followed by the museum. Then comes the entry to the zoo.
With kids along and limited time, I could'nt take pictures of the museum.
