The R. K. Studio Emblem

This is the emblem of the famous R.K.Films and Studios.
In 1951, Raj Kapoor, the great showman of Indian cinema laid the foundation of this studio in Mumbai.
Raj Kapoor was the son of the first great Indian film maker, Prithvi Raj Kapoor. He directed the super-hit movie Barsaat(means RAIN) in 1949. It had a passionate romantic theme and he starred in the film opposite the actress Nargis.
What is interesting is that Nargis' entwined image with the violin playing Raj Kapoor in the movie ''Barsaat' got immortalized as the emblem of the RK Banner.
