Monochrome Monday #15

A sepia image of an old building in Fort area of Mumbai. You would think it is a picture from the 1950's if it were not for the Reliance money office and new cars in the picture.

  1. Sepia almost always imparts that sense of the past. Due to all those old photographs - I wonder what a child's perception would make of it.

  2. The sepia treatment really does give the photo an old-fashioned look - almost timeless, apart from those few modern intrusions that you mention.

  3. I agree with no car it could pass for a much older image.

  4. You're right: except for the cars you could have fooled me!

  7. I find that one of the intriguing things about b&w's, the way they transport us so easily into another long gone time and space, at least on the surface.
